NEw Voices is a youth-led organization founded by forward-thinking young Nebraskans aged 14-26, with a commitment to increasing civic engagement and decreasing barriers for young candidates running in Nebraska.

Cora
Advocacy Director
Cora is a student at Lincoln East High School. She joined NEw Voices to make a tangible change in matters that affected her and her peers. Cora is passionate about ensuring social equality and access to healthcare, housing, and education for all, as well as environmentally friendly infrastructure. In her free time, she enjoys listening to and playing music, researching, reading and writing.

Katie
Local Policy Coordinator
Katie is a student at Fort Calhoun High School. When she graduates in the spring of 2026, she wants to study social work. She is planning to attend UNO. She joined NEw Voices because she loves learning and helping others learn about public policy. She is eager to advocate for a wide range of causes.

Brendan
Communications Co-Director
Brendan is a student at Omaha Central High School. He plans to study law to be a criminal defense attorney and help people get fair treatment in the vastly broken justice system. He joined NEw Voices because he is very interested in government and politics, and thinks political education is very important. In his free time, he goes to the gym, plays the guitar, and plays video games.

Lilly
Communications Co-Director
Lilly is a student at Omaha Central High School with a passion for getting young people involved with civic engagement. Besides her involvement in advocacy, Lilly is dedicated to music as a guitar player, making her voice heard through art.

Owen
Co-Founder, Website and Community Resources Coordinator
Owen is a current student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, studying Urban Technology. Owen joined NEw Voices because he needed to find a community of like-minded young people working to promote inclusivity and equal representation in Nebraska politics. Other than politics, Owen is passionate about sustainability, theater and music performance, and public transportation, and he loves Taylor Swift.

Lexi
Co-Founder, Newsletter Coordinator
Lexi is a current student at Hamline University in Minnesota, studying Biology and Environmental Studies. As a young Nebraskan, she is constantly working towards a more sustainable future and advocating for healthcare access. When Lexi isn’t writing postcards or finding new ways to get involved, she can be found playing lacrosse and spending time outdoors.

Jayde
Grant Coordinator
Jayde is a graduate of Wayne State College with degrees in political science and journalism and a minor in geography. She was the Editor in Chief for the Wayne Stater and currently works full time for the Cuming County newspaper. Since graduating, she has participated in nonprofit work around Nebraska and aims to share resources that help young voters get engaged. In her free time, Jayde enjoys going to the movies, spending time outside, thrifting, and playing games.

Garrett
Co-Founder, Development Director
Garrett is a recent graduate of UNO passionate about civic engagement, public policy, and grassroots organizing. He's worked on statewide initiatives, coordinated digital and field operations, and conducted policy research in a legislative setting. Whether it's mobilizing communities, supporting progressive causes, or diving into data-driven research, he’s driven by the impact thoughtful, people-centered policy can have.

Co-Founder, Engagement Director
Nora is a current junior at Omaha Central High who is tired of the lack of young representation in our national and state politics. She joined NEw Voices to make a positive impact on Nebraska and remain politically active in a constantly changing climate. In her spare time, she enjoys reading murder mysteries and baking cookies.

Chandlar
Coalition Coordinator
Chandlar is a current student at Lincoln East High School. She joined NEw Voices to get involved in her community, and to take part in activism within her state. She cares deeply about making positive changes and promoting equality for all. Some of her hobbies are creating art, listening to music, and thrifting.

Nya
Education Coordinator
Nya is a student at Omaha Northwest High School. They joined NEw Voices because sitting and not doing anything to help the political environment and those around them didn’t feel right. In their free time, they enjoy doing anything creative and watching others' creativity, whether it’s drawing, music, or watching movies.

Lux
Omaha Outreach Coordinator
Lux is a student at Omaha Central High School. They are passionate about topics like autism awareness, civic engagement, public policy, and gun violence. Lux was one the organizers and speakers at the gun violence walkout at Omaha Central High in September 2025. Lux enjoys painting, playing piano, and hanging out with family and friends in their spare time.

Lincoln Outreach Coordinator
Ella is a student at Lincoln East High School. She joined NEw Voices in order to be politically active and encourage advocacy and change in Nebraska. In her free time, she loves making and listening to music, researching, and crocheting.

Greater Nebraska Outreach Coordinator
Alizabeth is a freshman at Wayne State College majoring in journalism and political science. She's a staff writer for the Wayne Stater who enjoys writing and reading poetry in her free time.

Co-Founder, Vision & Initiatives Director and Operations Coordinator
Cleo is a policy fellow and MPA student at UNO passionate about state-level health policy and research. As a fourth-generation Nebraskan, Cleo cares deeply about working towards a state that is welcoming and accessible for all. When Cleo is not advocating for better systems, she can be found watching reality tv and spending time with her cat Kurt.

Co-Founder, Data Coordinator
Tessa is a student at Omaha Central High School. She joined NEw Voices to become politically active and advocate for the kind of positive changes she wants to see in Nebraska. In her free time, she enjoys music, Agatha Christie movies, shopping, and playing with her dog.

Pablo
Accessibility Coordinator
Pablo is a student at Bellevue West. He’s passionate about immigration law, knowing and exercising rights, and government accountability. Pablo started getting interested in politics in late 2025, and he believes everyone should have equal access to opportunity.
