NEw Voices Leaders is a group of people ages 14-26 across Nebraska committed to increasing youth civic engagement and decreasing barriers for young candidates running in our state.

How do NEw Voices members get involved?

• Provide opportunities for young Nebraskans to engage with elections

• Endorse young forward-thinking candidates

• Educate Nebraskans on current policy issues

• Mobilize volunteers to support campaigns

• Lead youth-centered ballot initiatives

What are the membership expectations?

NEw Voices Leaders meets every other weekend in-person and virtually. Meeting frequency may increase depending on upcoming elections and our goals as a leadership group. These meetings are required (with exceptions for up to 2 absences), as they serve as our educational and planning times.

At our meetings, we discuss a different topic related to campaigns and civic engagement, hear from local civic leaders and candidates, perform an actionable task related to our weekly topic, and collaborate on projects.
